Norris Leads Oscar Piastri in Brazilian Practice Session
The British driver has outperformed his teammate at all of the previous five race weekends.
The McLaren driver edged out team-mate and title rival the Australian for the quickest lap in the dying seconds of the practice session at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Norris, who seized the championship lead from Piastri by one point after his victory in Mexico City two weeks ago, topped the Australian by 0.023 seconds.
Earlier in the session, Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair during the running before sprint qualifying due at 18:30 GMT.
The Red Bull star, the only other driver in the championship fight, sitting 36 points behind behind Norris, was classified in 17th position as his Red Bull team ran a unique setup.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the sole competitor to crash, albeit lightly, when he spun at corner four early in the session.
Tsunoda lost control over the curbs on exit before sliding over the escape zone, and was lucky to escape with just a minor contact of the fence.
Ferrari's the seven-time champion also had a spin, at the very end of the session, spinning around through the fast downhill corner before the final bend on to the start-finish straight.
Hamilton finished practice in P19, trailing team-mate the Monegasque driver.
Norris and Piastri were far ahead of the rest of the field, with the German's car third fastest, over half a second slower than the Australian's time.
Aston Martin's the Spanish driver was in fourth, with the Sauber of Gabriel Bortoleto fifth from the Mercedes of Russell and Alpine's Pierre Gasly and Williams' Carlos Sainz.
